Julie of the Wolves
Julie of the Wolves is about an eskimo who ran away from her home, her husband, and her friends because her husband was being a total jerk. She meets up with a pack of wolves and slowly, they start to accept her as one of their own pups. But as the year moves on, the wolves need to move to where there is more food. Julie knows that she can't move as fast as the wolves, but she needs them to survive. Should she attempt to stay with them, or use her own knowledge and become a lone wolf? This book was written by Jean Craighead George. I would rate this a 3 1/2 out of five stars because it was lacking the interest that I like, and it was too short for me, but other than that it was a pretty good book. My favorite character was the head wolf. He was brave and was one of the first wolves to accept Julie. He fought for her too. I would recommend this book for people who like outdoorsie, animal-like books. Have fun reading!
