The Palace of Stone
The Palace of Stone is the second book in the Princess Academy series. It is about Miri going to Britta's wedding in Asland. A revolution is starting because many don't like the way that the king and queen are treating the commoners. Miri becomes friends with a rebel and slowly starts to become one. Miri knows that she can't be friends with Britta, the future queen, and be a rebel... right? Attacks start coming upon the castle and Miri has to stop them. Can Miri be a rebel and a friend to the princess? This book is written by Shannon Hale. I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars unlike the last book in the series. I kept wanting to put down the book, and read another one. My favorite character in this book is Miri. She is brave and kind but feisty like me. I would recommend this book to people who liked the first book. Have fun reading!Sunday, March 7, 2021
George's Secret Key to The Universe
George's Secret Key to The Universe
George's Secret Key to The Universe is about George, a simple boy who lives with his parents who believe science is hurting our world. One day, when George's pig escapes into the house next door that hasn't been occupied in years George has to go get him. But when he gets Freddy, he meets Eric and Annie, people who own a secret computer that can take them anywhere in space. George and Annie make a mistake and George gets the punishment of not seeing his best friend. After a while, George decides to go and apologize. He walks in on Eric's house being full of other scientists. After the meeting, George helps clean and finds a letter addressed to Eric. Eric gets excited but when he gets into space, Eric gets sucked up into a blackhole. Can George and Annie help him? This book was written by Lucy and Stephen Hawking. I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 because I don't really like science fiction books, but if you like science fiction books, I think you would like it. My favorite character in this book is definitely Annie. She tells crazy stories but is kind and sweet as well. Have fun reading!
